Integrated seatpost cut too short. Options?

Ive been given bike to get me back racing while the insurance guys fap about but the integrated seatpost was cut too short for me. I need another inch or 2 for a quick check, i know the seat clamp can be raised slightly but is there anything else? Im very flexible and can take a harsh position so i was thinking of jacking the saddle back as far as itll go but is there anything else. Higher Saddle? Any ideas welcome

I think if you take the clamp off the seat post and then buy a new bike.

I probably should of specified thats not an option and probably obviously not an option however someone always has to say it

What type of bike? I know the Wilier cento uno has a seatpost thats internal diameter is 31.6 so you can put on a collar and slip a regular seatpost into it. Is this an option?

Auld an post principia, not very common.

Re: Longer cranks, never thought of that. Good idea but they would want to be very long though to compensate i suppose

Thats great, thanks. I couldnt find anythinf on any of the usual websites.

What do the dimensions refer to? the 30.25mm for example

I think that its the diameter of your existing seatpost. Here's another more expensive but lighter one with a 27.6mm option:

Ok thanks, the manual says its a 31.6mm seatpost, although im not sure is that the isp or normal. Ill ring the guy im getting it off today

Depending on the bike you may be able to get an alternative, longer seat mast top. I know scott sell one that can give another 2cm or so - i.e. 35mm of adjustment versus the normal 15mm.

Another brand seat mast top may also give additional height.

I have also read that you can cut the integrated seat post down to normal length, include a cut at the rear and then fit a normal seatpost collar and seat post.

i heard that about last one alright but im not too fond of cutting carbon.

I think i know what im looking for anyway and sure if it has to be left for the weekend so be it.

Longer cranks wouldn't work because at the top of the pedal stroke your leg/knee would be very high due to the low saddle
