Just want to know what others would change about this build.

I got great help here when building my first PC 7 months ago and now my brother wants to build one too, these are the parts he picked out. What do ye think?

RAM: 8GB-Kit Crucial Ballistix Sport Series DDR3-1600, CL9

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Box, LGA1150

    GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 WindForce 3X, 4GB GDDR5, 2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort

    MOTHERBOARD: ASRock Z97 Pro4, Sockel 1150, ATX

POWER SUPPLY: Seasonic X-650, 650 Watt, 80PLUS Gold

CPU FAN: Zalman CNPS5X Performa CPU-Kühler

    SSD: Crucial M500 120GB SATA 6GB/s 6,4CM (2,5") 7mm

    STORAGE: WD Blue 1TB

CASE: FRACTAL DESIGN Define R4 Arctic White Window side panel

The total on HWV is coming to 1080 euro for those parts.
He's buying a monitor from Amazon that costs 500 euro!!! A Dell U2713HM, which I think is mad but it's his money.

Some things about the build I have some reservations on, the power supply; does he need that one, I know he can go cheaper but he wanted one that would last him for a few upgrades. And the CPU fan, is that good enough if he plans on doing a light overclock down the line?

    What do ye think?

Tell him make sure that monitor is not the old faulty ones look ok Dell site for more info. Amazon still selling them after reported faults.

    Build looks good.

How much is the SSD costing?

New MX100 range from crucial its €88 for 256gb model and €61 for 128gb on HWVS,great value

Also use geizhals.de if you havent already, should get a small discount on each part.

A good quality 500-550w power supply should be enough for any one card system,650w is a bit of a waste really. Its not enough to crossfire/sli anything but low end gpus and its too much for a 1 card system imo.

CPU cooler looks ok,no experience with it personally but reviews suggest its decent. Wont set any overclocking records with it but should get a decent overclock with it.
