Car has improved in a year?

Went for the Nct this morning and did all the usual checks, tyres lights etc, and checked last years results just to see if anything was likely to fail, everything looked grand so put it through, it passed, so happy days! but the strangest thing is most of the results show the car has actually improved in the last year! I haven't done any work to it other than an oil and filter change and ran about 15k on it since the last nct any ideas on how/why its improved? i'll be selling it in the coming months so definitely a big selling point its an 02 mazda 6 by the way

When did you buy it ?
The emissions results show a massive improvement.
If you bought shortly before (or after) the earlier NCT test it could be just down to your driving style compared to the previous owners.

One of mine is (or was) a Picasso HDi which showed both improvements and 'worsenings' (I know) each year for Suspension and Brake Tests....not just % differences but actual better figures some years and down the next year.
I was doing about 60/70k miles a year.

Bought it in 2012 has never missed a beat definitely thinking of going for another one maybe 05/06

It's not heated up properly in one of the test oil temp very low

That was todays test I got there early and there was a delay so car must have cooled down

Sorry. Took it that the 1st photo was the earlier test.
