Insurance NCB Query

    Hi guys,
Could ye please tell me who accepts both named and in own name ncb for insurance.
Im 21 and have 1 year in my own name and two years as a named driver.
Getting quoted 905 fully comp on a 90bhp 1.4 d4d corolla which is a bit expensive in my opinion.
I plan on ringing companies also but would like to price them online first.
    Thanks

Have you a full license? €900 isnt bad considering your age and relative lack of experience. Its an even better price if youre not fully licensed.

I think (and I could be wrong) that your own NCB will trump any named driving experience, and Im not sure that both are taken into account. Best thing to do is make some calls and ask the question. Its also worth calling some brokers, as they may be able to assist you in ways that insurers will not do directly.

905 fully comp is not bad at all given age and experience as djimi said. When I was your age I was getting quotes of 1800 bracket and that was only 6 years ago! Years before that and it was even higher for my brother around that age.

Yes, sorry should have mentioned that I have a full licence with 3 years and 3.5 years ncb and been driving even longer than that.
to be honest I would have thought 3 years was quite a bit of experience to have, especially at my age.
    I only paid 947 last year :/

Also, can anyone recommend any brokers in sligo, mayo, galway that I can talk to?

You might find a quote cheaper than that, and absolutely ring around and see, but I wouldnt be expecting it to drop a whole lot lower (although who knows, you might get lucky!).

No you don't. You have 3 years NCB. If you change insurer halfway through a year, you don't get a half a year's worth NCB.
