    Hi folks,

I have been quoted the following by a builder who is doing a few jobs locally in Dublin 7.

    Build 11m long x 3 course high garden boundary wall (100mm solids) : €385
Supply and lay saddle back cappings : €96
Render both sides of wall : €340

    Total ex VAT = €821

A suitable foundation (checked by builder) is already in place.

I am completely out of touch with building costs and google hasn't been much help.

Can any trades here confirm if this is a reasonable quote ?

    Thank you.
    F.

Sorry, I left half the info out of the OP.

    Yes, it's 100mm solids.

    Thanks.

The €385 for the construction of the wall is saucy anyway.

Just on the information you've given it sounds a high for the wall construction and the plastering. The Caps seem cheap enough.

Saying that if he has to build in some piers for say a gateway it would balance it back.
