Any of ye been hunting in Croatia? I got an offer yesterday to go over mid September. I'll be going out with a few local lads so it won't be like the normal paid driven shoots, just wondering if any of ye have had a similar experience & is it worth the travel?

Hunting in Croatia no, but I spent some time there and its a great place to visit.
I did do something similar in France (& Spain) around the Pyrenees. It was a great experience for the culture of everyday life and local hunting. Well worth doing if you get the chance, its not just the different species list but the local attitudes and ways of hunting you experience.

It sounds too good to miss out on, I'll probably never get the opertunity to do it again so I gave my mate the thumbs up yesterday. We're going over the 15th September for 5 days. Can't bloody wait tbh!! I've a lot of things to tick off the to-do list over there!

It's meant to be a seriously cheap place to buy scopes etc too!

Tried driven boar there a couple of times, much later in the year. Be nice to see it that time of year.
Enjoy the trip and the hunting, should be good when hunting with local folks. Local beer and wine is excellent too, and very cheap when you are used to prices in Ireland.
I've a similar offer to hunt in Slovakia, hope to take them up on it this autumn if can fit in the time.
