Is there anyone here living in the IFSC? There is a horrible smell of sewage at the moment and it's been occurring on and off for the past few weeks.

Anyone know what the cause is? Is it coming from the canal?

Probably the heat on organic stuff causing smelly decomposition at low tide and the like. It stank along Sutton to Dollymount this afternoon.

That's just the smell of Dublin in warm weather unfortunately

That smells always seems to pick up when the weather is good and the canal basin dries out exposing the layers of rotting sediment to the sun.

Yep, I get that over in Grand Canal Dock too, seems to be particularly bad in the evenings.
