Westport College of further education are offering the Agricultural green cert as a night course commencing in September 2014 for 2 nights per week Monday and Tuesday from 6.30 to 9.30 for 24 weeks. The course will then run the following September for 6 weeks with the same format with Certs being issued in December 2015.

We are a Mayo Vec college and the first college to offer this in Ireland in this way. Any questions please ask.

Ps. I have cleared this with the mods.

Teagasc are under severe pressure meet the demand!
Im very surprised that more courses like this haven't been rolled out through the cfe's.

Each college of further education is part of an Etb new name for VEC's so they are linked in this way. As far as I know we are the only one in a Ireland doing the night course.

Fair play to Westport College it seems to be providing adequate training for farmers. As lakill says pity the rest of the country wasn't getting similar opportunities
