Anyone know what the cost of maize seeding incl vat is? Neighbour said he paid 55 plus vat so 62 euro an acre. I thought it was dear! I always thought it was 55 incl. good year for it though!!

    With/without plastic?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I'd be more inclined to say maize sowing not setting, setting potatoes maybe, and planting then for transplanting from pre-grown cells.

Seeding would be another one. Good crop of stuff wishes he had more of. Who doesn't this year me thinks
55 plus vat so is a good rate?

I always found "drilling" very American.

I've heard drilling being used here for years way before many people started to imitate Yanks. Americans use the word planting.

Should I open a pole to determine which is the correct term before I get to know what the going rate for putting maize in the ground, covering it with plastic and spraying it?
