A friend is moving to Dungarvan for work with his family,

Any suggestions as to what's the good secondary school for results and good discipline ( that is supposing his son will do some work!)His son is going in to either 5th or 6th year.

St. Augustine's (The Friary) gets the best results in Co. Waterford for a non-fee paying school (Newtown in Waterford has had fees up to now). Don't know about discipline. It's a couple of km outside of town.

The Friary have had some high profile discipline issues in recent years. The CBS have a new principal coming in so hard to say what he/she will be like. It's a tough call especially for just two years.

    Friary..

    Best TY program too.

After 3rd year lots of people try and get into 4th and 5th in the friary from other schools in town.. Rarely the other way around.

As a past pupil of St Augustines College - the friary - I would recommend it. Some great great teachers and a good atmosphere in the school.
