Not sure if this is the right forum for this but I can't see anywhere else that I might get a sensible response. Feel free to move. :)

Anyway, I'm researching the life and times of English artist Walter Hayward Young (1868-1920) and, as with most things I take an interest in, there's virtually nothing to be found about him anywhere. Even the Wikipedia entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Hayward-Young runs to just six lines!

He was a prolific artist best known for his postcards which usually carried his pseudonym "Jotter". He also wrote two books one of which I have and the the other I'm circling on eBay - even these books are rare. However, imagine my surprise when I found a biography about him on Abebooks.co.uk -

Book on Demand, Miami, 2013. Perfect binding. Book Condition: NEW. Dust Jacket Condition: NEW. 8.3" x 11". In English language. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles!

I know that I must be missing something here - a book based on high quality content by Wikipedia articles - all six lines of it! The price of the the Print on Demand book is £ 12.03 plus £ 5.27 p+p.

I have experienced US Print on Demand books before and the whole area is highly contentious with a couple of giant operators behind the whole thing, making rare unobtainable books available for the greater good of mankind.

I'm almost tempted to go ahead and order a copy. It really is about time the likes of Abebooks barred sellers from being allowed to list such trash and for bona fide booksellers to stop listing a lot of the POD material. Any thoughts?

According to Google Books and eBay it's 62 pages in length.

Could it be padded out with poor quality plates (from Google Images maybe)? I would suspect it to be a disappointment anyway.
