This looks a nice circuit around relatively flat terrain. All cyclists are chip timed. Unsure what cycle to do Saturday but I think this looks more appealing than the reeks. Skoda jersey for all cyclists.

why are these spanner organisers chip timing these sportives? chip timing should be for racing only

its a complete waste of cash, but handy for the chip provider - I see the Suir Valley crowd are doing this as well, your time texted to you as you cross the finish in Clonmel.

almost every cyclist has some sort of speedometer on the bike these days, don't see the benefit of chip timing such events at all

Cos it's fun? Nice to know where you stand against other guys. Sure we have our own speedos but that only tells you your own time

No mass rock so won't be bothering with it.

There is a 100 km cycle on in Bruree co limerick the next day which I'll be heading along to , 100km too but takes in ballintubber which is a nice drag:)

The route seems very flat for all the 100km.Route needs to be redesigned to take in some hills. Will do the Ring of the Reeks instead. Also it is difficult to find a good map of route on Fit website.

seemed to be the main thing of the skoda cycles - no climbs

There's no harm having some flattish events for people that want that. Skoda Wicklow and Kerry both had hills by the way.
