Just want some basic questions answered
I want to know if you cut of a branch does it continue to grow afterwards or does it continue t o stay the same (say if you were to cut off the top 3-4 inches would it continue to grow
If you prune off a leaf will it grow again or not.
Are their any fungicides that actually kill fungi in a plant rather than just inhibiting growth

Of course the branch will grow but as a cluster of smaller branches. A leaf will not regrow. fungicides kill fungus a d shouldnot harm plant. May need more than one application.

But if a branch has been stripped bare of its leaves will it always be bare ? Will new buds leaves grow later

It depends on why the leaves were stripped off. Use your thumbnail to just scrape the surface of the bark, if it is greeny-white and sappy the branch is still alive and will probably grow more leaves. If it is dry/shrivelled/dark it is probably dead. If the end of the branch (away from the trunk) is withered but further down the branch is green, cut off the dead part (into green wood).

I pruned off the dead parts but now they formed a darkened seal at the top does still continue to grow later on?or is the branch of the shrub going to be the same length forever? Should I expect the pruned tips to darken or is this a sign of infection?

The cut top piece is not going to continue to grow from the cut end, if still alive it will probably sprout buds from the branch left below that cut and those will then grow longer into new branches.

Might be useful to know what type of plant you cut as they don't all grow the same way.
