Musicians wanted to play video game music together

Band Name: The Arthur Gardenhose Preservation Society and the Edible Remote Control Orchestra. Or something. I haven't put much thought into a band name yet.

Band Genre: Ideally the band will consist of a core 'rock' group, but will play a variety of genres depending on the songs. The point of the band would be to play music from computer games, whether it be the Halo theme, or the music from Super Mario World, One Winged Angel from FFVII, or the Faunts track at the end of Mass Effect. Actually, anything from the Mass Effect OSTs would be sweet.

Band Location: Dublin. Ideally southside, but I don't want to exclude anyone yet, seeing as the band consists of me and myself so far.

Influences: from contemporary music: Muse, Kanye West, Dillinger Escape Plan, Eels, Mastodon (see username), Massive Attack, Iggy Pop, Roy Orbison. But that's just all stuff I like. The music we'd be playing is all from video games. Didn't you ever go a gig and think "I'd really love to hear this band play the Monkey Island theme right now."?

Positions Available: Everywhere. I play guitar and sing (badly), but any and all who want to play would be welcome, no instrument is too obscure. You play the Harp? Cool, we can do the A Link To The Past menu music.

Desired Age Range: i suppose to keep us all sane, 21-33 is a good guideline, but that's obviously not Gospel.

Available Sound Samples: Not yet, no. Need a band first

Additional Info: What I'd love is to be able to play video game music loud and live. There's no max size on the group in mind, and I'm looking for people who are passionate about their gaming and music enough to be deluded into thinking this is a good idea, like I've done to myself. If nothing else, it should be a lot of fun.
