Renewal of driving licence - licence categories

Hi, my licence is expiring and I have a question about renewal that maybe one of you can help with.
I have the form and there is a series of checkboxes for licence categories.

My current licence was issued ten years ago, it has category B on it only.

My question is, are their other categories I can add which don't require an additional test?
For example I believe it used to be the case that the cat W licence (tractor) and some of the smaller motorbike/moped licences would be added once you had gotten a category B licence.

The only reason I ask is that the RSA and their cronies are just going to keep adding tests and categories as they see fit and I would rather get any categories onto the licence now so that I won't have to jump through flaming hoops in future to do so, plus pay €35 and have these fun forms to fill in again.

One category I have an interest in is category BE, which is for car and larger trailers. Is there an additional test for this, the form just seems to say
"You must hold a full B licence before getting a BE permit"

Do you have to repeat the test with a trailer attached or what?

    edit to add,
Just saw this part on the web page which is absent from the printed form I have. This is the kind of unspoken entitlement I mean.
I would rather take this up now than have it lapse all for the absence of a tick of a pen!

Moped: Where a person was issued the category B full licence prior to 21 October 2006 that also covered them to ride mopeds and therefore are entitled to the moped category AM provided the category B licence has not expired for more than 10 years.

You can add the tractor (W) for free without having to do another test. I'm not sure if this is in yet, but there you will need to do another test for a trailer. Maybe you can wing it though, since it's a renewal and up to now you didn't have to do an additional test.

    Thank god for boards,
If you had to rely on the official websites for clear details you would get nowhere.
The BE licence category does now need a separate test with a trailer loaded with concrete blocks.

And some driving schools offer a rig you can use that passes all the legal requirements for the test.

Sounds awkward if you needed it in a hurry since its a separate theory and driving test, and tester could probably fail you for all sorts if they were in the mood. One to consider anyway.
    Thanks

BE licence always needed a separate test but very few people ever bothered to do it.

Do it anyway, if you fail you all that will happen is that you won't get a Cert of Competency for the BE licence, it won't affect your existing B licence.

Might apply sometime in future. I have to renew my licence today. Will look into it separately since need a test etc. Mopeds and tractors will do me for now.
