breeding season

    how difficult is it to keep your calving and breeding season to 12 weeks ,i know on lot of farm ours included this dosnt happen,getting cows back in calf can be difficult,could this be down to minerals they all calf on there own so difficult calving isn't an issue,is it possible to actualy gain a few weeks on cows as in get them calving when you want them and keep them there,were new to suckling so issuppose were still learning,people on here with years of experience how are ye doin it,or is it possible,is a calf per cow per year the main objective..

    Was going to pull bull Monday but 2 over weekend and 1 today ,Friday and that's it ,season over,like most here a bit dissapoibted with last few weeks have had cows bulled in May come back in heat and so far I have 9 bulled this month .moving up in nos next year so want minimal emptys.will still have a surplus but there will be always a screw if a heifer calve down or a cow throw a calf

    Yep and lepto salmonella,Bvd as well as bolus for minerals..seems to be very common complaint this year
