My taxsaver ticket expires at the end of August for luas and db. I have renewed it on the travel hub site and filled out my relevant paperwork for the job. I only applied for it today, will I have it in time for September or have I missed the cut off date?

Do you know if I would be getting the new taxsaver leap card instead of the ticket?

It SHOULD be a Leapcard...The single most important element is to remember to Activate the product at a Payzone Outlet (Ask for a Status Check).

If it's a DB period product, this will be required each month,as the card will not update automatically via the Bus Machine.

I'd also recommend putting a few € on the Travel Purse for those journeys where you might have a companion and would then be able to avail of the cheaper Leapcard Fare.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

It will be luas and dublin bus ticket. Will I need to activate it every month even though it is an annual pass? Does it need to be done at a pay zone or will it work at a luas ticket machine?

An annual ticket will need to be picked up only once. I'd imagine a bus and Luas ticket can be collected at any Luas stop but I could be wrong. I think it's an option you select when buying the ticket.

Nope,an Annual only needs Initializing once. It's the Monthly Ramblers which are causing the most issues.
