My car at the moment is an Audi A 4 2.0 tdi s- line 2006 . Just looking for opinions on
A: My mileage for a petrol
    B : Honda FRV 1.8 vtech

    Thanks everybody !

I own such a car, like it.

As for mpg, I have never really clocked it accurately but I'd guess mid 30s.

Is it as bulletproof as they say ? What's your annual mileage ?

Only owned it since last summer, and reliable so far. Its an 08.

Again not got an accurate figure so annual mileage, but again I'd guess at 6000 miles.

One thing that turned me off is no central arm rest

    I have been running a 08 one for 12months.
Long term average is 7.5litres per 100km
Bulletproof engine with chain instead of belt.
Parts are a bit dear. Spark plugs are long life, but 80 euro for a set.
Interior is sturdy, but the painted plastic bits scratch easily.
The middle seat is brilliant. But the seat belt receptacles on the back seats get trapped when folded down.
I'll be selling it on soon, as my wife didn't like driving it so I ended up with it.
Its a lovely place to be, but a bit too family for me.

Foes the centre seat not act as an armrest when folded down?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,199 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

It certainly does, my left arm spends most of the journey there!

The one I'm looking at has 90000 miles and is 08. They are looking for 7500. What ye think ? NCT till Jan 2016. FSH

I wouldnt go for it due to its mileage, spend an extra 600 for less mileage

That's about what it's worth. Is it the one with leather?

That one in Kilkenny looks good, one owner car, leather etc.

Cars don't just explode when they hit 100,000 miles.

That's the one . What do you think I should give ? Will there be plenty of life in a 90000 mile honda ?

Check all interior fittings. The under dash cupholder is clever, but easily broken. 150 euro.
Cupholders on back of middle seat also easily broken. Plastic covers on seat rail brackets break. Alloys kerb easily because of the design. All haggle factors. Be aware that it is more expensive to tax on the new system than on the old, so a late 08 will be on the new rates.

    Good point!

Think tax is 636 so that's the cheaper rate . I'll use the high tax as haggle factor. Would a 08 be worth 6500 - 7000 ?

    Once it's the 1.8 I-vtec with leather, 7k is a good price.
I doubt you will get it for 6500, but have a go.
I would be hoping for 6500 for mine without leather.

80000. I'll be running it through the nct next month, then cleaning it up for sale.
