A question about penalty points

    It was 3 years ago this month when I got my first 2 penalty points so they should be gone from my license now. I'm just wondering do I get some sort of notification of this?

    Just to be sure you know, it's 3 years from the date they were added to the license - not 3 years from the day you committed the offence or paid the fine.

    AFAIK, you do receive a letter informing you. However you can also call the RSA office and they can check how many points you have and when they expire.

    If your licence lapsed within the three years then the lapsed period is added to the term.

    2 points wouldnt be losing any sleep over.

    I got a letter saying I was now clean:eek: then got 2 more:(:mad:

    I actually have 6. It should be back down to 4 after this month though.
