    Hi,

I have sky in the house. One main box in the sitting room and another in one of the bedrooms. I'm now looking to get a 3rd one in but it's too expensive.

I haven't set up Sky Go yet but I was wondering if I did could I download the Sky Go app to an iPhone and in some way connect the phone to the TV?

    Thanks for your help.

You could get an Apple TV and use the screen mirroring feature to send the screen from the iPhone to the tv that way.

That won't work. Outputting through HDMI is disabled by the app.

Connect a HDMI cable from your laptop to the tv.

Ive done it in the past when my satellite dish got moved.

I've done this myself. As far as I know this is the only way to do it.

The house is laptop free at the minute.

If I did have a laptop though is it as easy as logging on to Sky Go on the laptop and connecting that to the TV and I'd have sky available?

Apart from the laptop is there no other way of getting sky onto the 3rd TV without having to pay for the costs involved if I was to get another box from them directly?

    Thanks.

Don't you have to pay for Sky Go on Xbox from the end of the month ?

Yes you have to have sky go extra at a cost of €6 or free of you have mr with sky. There was talk that you wouldn't need a live sub like you did previously.

I think you're right there. So say your pal has sky you could borrow their sky go. Or buy an extra sky go at 6€ a month from them if their 2 sky go accounts are being used

Sky go extra, the one for €6 allows you to use it on up to 4 devices. You can also download content too.

I use Sky Go on XBox live and on a laptop.

The selection of channels is much much smaller.

This is true, but with the sky go extra you will have access to some on demand content too.

Play stations are unsupported at the moment. But as suggested if you have a laptop with a hdmi port it will work.

Sky go is due to become available for PS3 and 4. I haven't seen an exact date yet.

Summer's nearly over, surely soon! :) Hopefully it's not just UK and we get it in ROI straight away too.
