Asus eee pc 1005P wont boot/recover

Going Forward

As above, was running windows 7 starter, wouldnt startup, but I dont have a physical CD.

I tried to reload with W7 but it was 64 bit and didnt work.

Each time I tried to recover it would end up with an error.
I'm not terribly tech savvy either!

I have it now working with Lubuntu and everything is working perfectly, but it's a bit of a learning curve, just wondered if theres any way apart from getting onto to Asus for a W7 starter CD or any other OS anyone could recommend?

That netbook had a hidden recovery partition with the os on it, have you wiped that?

It didn't come with the support DVD so I can't try that, and at this stage I've probably wiped the recovery partition.

I did try using the windows imagex recovery, that appeared to be working but would give an error message after some time each time.
When I'd try to load from a downloaded iso to DVD it would constantly hang at 84% progress.
