Irish citizenship for child of a naturalised parent

Can someone please guide me regarding this matter:
My child is 17 and a half years old, born in a non-EU country in 1996. She lived here for four and a half years, before 2001. I am a naturalised Irish citizen (in year 2002). As she was born before my naturalisation I'm just wondering if she can become an Irish citizen while making use of that past stay, as she can not at this stage come and live in Ireland for 3 years, as that is the general requirement, because of her education.
