I can't see why it wouldn't work. If it works as well as the iOS version then it will be worth the effort getting the apk for it.

You need a Freetime box or TV to use it.

I set up a UK itunes account, and installed the Freesat App om my iPhone.
Paired the phone and the Freesat (Freetime) box, and it works perfectly.
Ability to recored remotely is great.

I'm going up north in a few days, would I be able to download it through wifi while I'm up there.? (android)

I remember BBC iplayer was available to download the last time I went to N.I.

If you do get it and wouldn't mind sharing it, I'd be much obliged, can fix up with you, just let me know.

I now have this app working on my Nexus 10 tablet in Dublin. Using Hola I designated UK for Play Store. I then downloaded the Freesat app - again I designated UK. Don't have a free time box, but giving me full listings.

Would you not just download Filmon?

Filmon has nothing to do with this - the App is to control a Freesat box remotely and view and set recordings on it.

isn't this app just a TV guide and does not actually show programmes?

@ Buddy Holly - try Mobdro too

Ah OK, well any decent phone with an ir blaster would help with this.

How would that assist in setting recordings on the go?

    Thanks very much for that.
I downloaded the app and it seems fine.
    One question
It says that you can access your recordings and manage them using your phone by going to the saved section.
I can only find tv guide, showcase, remote control sections in the app
    thanks for reading

Sorry mate, I can't answer that. I've not used the app at all - I'm changing from sky to freesat soon so just got the app in advance.

First of all Many thanks to livEwirE for uploading the apk.

Here is a link which gives instructions about managing your recordings.

    http://www.freesat.co.uk/help/app/using/managing-recording

The bad news is that according to this page it only works on iOS (Apple).
I have tried selecting the logo at top left on my Android device and nothing happens.

    Maybe it will appear soon.

    Max

I cant get Play Store to appear in The Hola list of apps (Galaxy S3) Am I doing something wrong?

Downloaded it a few days ago, just trying it out now.

Does it give you any warning if programs clash when recording?
As it doesn't seem to send it instantly to the box.

It seems to be a very handy app besides.
