    john deere


    I have a john deere 4 wheel drive tractor with 24rims on front . Does it make a difference to the tractor if I put 28 rims on instead. Any advice have heard you cant just looking for advice. Thanks

    You will wind up the transmission if you upset the ratio and probably cause damage to the transmission gearbox or driveline and most likely cause tire wear
    The tyres are that size for a reason

    you are allowed under 13% ratio difference, you would have to change rears to suit rotation , the problem is when in a field with 4wd engaged the front wheels will dig before the rears
