How good are you at grass management? You could keep 70-80 if good at measuring/predicting how many days ahead, this Craic of letting off 50 cattle into 15 acre field is a waste if time IMO, will you need to make silage? Or just summer grazing?

If the land is in reasonable grazing type and in good order you would carry 70 for the full season. Staring at 400 kgs in April. you will be short of grass in early and late part. Particularly the early part in a lot of years. And have too much strong grass mid June. I think you'd have to conserve some of this for the fringe months...Oops after re reading original post I see it says good land. Well good dry land with plenty of the pepper shaker you could do 100 head of same.

Re-seeded ground will carry a lot more than old grass. I'd say at least 1 to the acre. How often are you prepared to move a fence? 130 would be the max I'd say. Have 19 400kg bulls on 7 acres here, clover no Nitrogen.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

First question, what's your land like?
