    Hi,

    I will start by explaining my situation. I am an Irish citizen currently 6 months pregnant. My partner ( father of baby) is Australian.

    I decided to return to Ireland to have the baby. My partner plans to travel over for birth and hopefully stay.

    How do we apply for stamp 4 , so he can work ? How long is the processing time for stamp 4?

    TIA I am new to boards :)

    You need proper legal advice. This is a very complex area of law and unlike Australia it is not simple. You will hear of the case of Zambrano (which may or may not apply).

    It would be best to seek proper advice from professionals. New guidelines have been produced by the Department, which will effect any application.
