hi there I bought a car 4 years ago it was an 06 ford focus Ghia I bout it 2nd hand from a garage. I just notice today all car records like motor tax, log book and NCR says my car is silver but my car is not color silver i actually don't know but if I'm not mistaken color is champagne which is not included in the form. I renew my tax my NCt and insurance no problem. I just wanna know if this happening is common mistake or they just put silver on the logbook since my color is not available on the list. one more thing chassis number is the same as why is in logbook.

    thanks for all the replies

Hardly a tax question but you have no problem anyway.

The colour on your tax book is just a broad description or category as might be used by the "man in the street". If your car is involved in an incident and a witness describes it as silver, the Gardai can check colours like silver, grey or white. They will not have to waste their time looking at black, red, blue, green etc cars.
