An article on What happens to the things that Gardaí and Revenue seize?, had never thought of what happens the amount of stuff they must lift off people.

Yeah it does. Dublin Airport auctions lost property every 3 months or so and all proceeds go to the whatever charity happens to be their charity of the year. My mate's aunt works in the airport and the staff are usually given a priority in the auctions. My mate has gotten an ipad and a couple of unused designer handbags with the tags till attached for little or nothing through her aunt. :D

Anyone else thinking of Chief Wiggum right now when they all put on the counterfeit jeans? Or the other episode where they confiscate the hotpants that went over board?

    "Looking good boys" :D

Anyone can do to the auctions. They usually advertise them on the Dublin airport website so you can set up a google alert for it. There's still a lot of good stuff left after the staff's had at it. Or alternatively you could get a job at the airport... they're hiring security personnel at the moment according to Mag's aunt...

Baggage Battles? I watched a few episodes on the Travel Channel recently, it's ridiculous.

"I just spent $600 on this worthless bag full of some guy's soiled vacation clothes, what a bum deal ... Wait ... hey .. whats this package under here ... Wow, this looks like an ancient Sumatran ceremonial shin covering, I know just the guy to bring this to for a valuation."

    How convenient! :pac:
