    It has already caused a dozen fatalities and done a lot of damage in Philippines when it hit it approaching as a category 1, but now it's heading for Vietnam and China and will reach around Cat 3 or Cat 4

    It has a really well defined eye after something that was much more scattered when it came across manila

    I saw some news coverage from Manila, people were being blown sideways down a city street with or without their scooters. The Japan weather agency maps at the time showed a cat-1 storm but the video looked more cat-2, perhaps a wind tunnel effect.

    Here's a map link showing the trajectory of the storm towards northern Hainan Island. Notice also there's a slowly developing tropical disturbance east of the southern Philippines. This month is quite active for July.

    77 killed in the Philippines so far. Hit china as a strong cat 4 and has killed 8 so far and still very strong as it heads for Vietnam, more trouble on the way.
