    Hi all

Was looking at this car and wondering if it is shouting "clocked"? Low mileage and cost. Not very experienced buying cars so would appreciate some thoughts before arranging a viewing.

Sorry, can't post link as new user here apparently.

    €3700 for a 2009 Passat?

Seriously? You really need to ask if that's dodgy or not? 8000-11000 seems to be the price on DD.

    Run a mile.

You cannot buy 2009 Passats for €3700. It's a scam of some sorts. If you look at similar models you will see they cost alot more. That should be the first indication that something is not right but people tend to get blinded by a potential bargain price.

    Thanks folks

That was my instinct too, I guess the general rule of thumb is if it seems too good to be true it probably is.

Any ideas for a €4500 reliable family car?

Not overly reliable, especially as they get older.

    Corolla is light years ahead.
