Anglo: the new tapes revealed

So new Anglo tapes are out today and yet again Drumm is heard talking down the situation as his bank fails.

They reveal how Anglo Irish Bank's then chief executive laughed and joked as Ireland's economy shuddered to a halt. The tapes also reveal David Drumm speaking to a fellow senior bank executive about giving his own board "the Ladybird" version of events.

In his conversation with Mr Bowe on January 22, Mr Drumm indicates that he intends to gloss over the perilous state of Anglo’s finances when meeting with the board.

“When I meet them for dinner, I'll give them the Ladybird version of the movement of numbers which I gave them the last time.

Is it not time to have this scumbag extradited back here to face the consequences of his actions? :mad:

Just send a hit man. They're ten a penny over there. We'd probably get more respect from the yanks for it too, they might back away a little from addressing the Double Irish.

As soon as the Double Irish is tackled by them - who doesn't want to boost their own tax take - we're f#cked, because our government is devoid of foresight. Current and previous, and future no doubt.

I think it's balls more than anything that this (and other) governments are lacking in. Put in an extradition request (If there is sufficient evidence to request one) and tell them to send Drumm back. Can't see them refusing the request.

Whilst it would be a political scalp to get Drumm prosecuted, I have a feeling that he has a lot of cards up his sleeves that the government and more importantly, the puppet masters in the civil service, don't wan't out on the table.

As bad as Drumm is, Bowe seems to be in all these tapes and comes across as such an suck up Yes man, he infuriates me.
