Personally I think now we have Dav and the office involved we should simply try and do 2 orders a year - Summer Gear order perhaps with a target delivery around April, and Winter Gear around October

As I am sure Dav can vouch (as can everyone else who has been involved in these orders), there is always a hell of a lot of hassle to whoever does the organisation, and bringing a bit more routine to it may help as everyone will then know where they stand and we won't simply be holding out for a volunteer(/mug!) to put their name forward

Don't see the need for another order as other have mentioned (I think consolidating orders - and maybe something in an FAQ/one of the stickies explaining the 2 orders per year - might actually work better, as if the orders are larger due to being less frequent we might get a better bulk discount), but I think the real question here is do we really need another redesign already?!

At this stage there are 4 different (and fairly distinct from each other) boards jersey designs in the wild (not counting the incremental variations as manufacturers changed), so to speak, so do we really need to add another already? Hell, 2 of them only came about in the last year or 2 alone! The original and pink designs went through several orders and iterations before being replaced, whereas it's getting towards a new design per order now, which is a bit ridiculous IMHO. Yeah, people may be more inclined to get in on each order if the design changes regularly rather than missing out, but it also makes the jerseys less recognisable/distinguishable when they vary this much.

Also, WTF is with the hidden poll results? Only going to show them if it suits your cause? :pac::P

The suggested one is virtually identical to the current. I don't really think anybody will have any problems recognising it.

Apologies for being pedantic but the poll doesn't ask if we need another design (i.e. YES or NO). It just gives a choice of design.

I think the winter kit should be the next one as you won't be using your short sleeve tops for long!
For the winter design I think it should be in boards blue with a big bold boards.ie across the front and a big bold I'm a boardsie on the back!

I spoke to Dav about a reorder of the summer kit and the timeline design for the winter kit.
He was happy with the current design and when I originally did the winter hat- buff design/order I had envisioned a full kit winker summer and winter kit.
We agreed that it was too awkward and too late to get a reorder of summer kit.
Remember the summer kit thread was started in April.

I was thinking of this as a minor design adjustment for either summer reorder or winter order .

I personally don't think we should be re-jigging the design with pretty much every order. The last 2 orders have each had new designs and in my view we should try and at least have some continuity (which the pink to lime green had with a basic change in colour). The original design survived couple of years or more and the pink one another 3 or so - I don't think we should go though a design contest every 6 months, or else we'll end up back where we started before too long. Members have expressed satisfaction with the current design and the material/supplier, so let's stick with it for a couple of years at least (and even Man U don't change their jerseys that often - think of the children having to dish out every few months for something to replicate what they see their heroes riding around in all the time:pac:)

Simple solution: print boards.ie logo on iron-on patch. Iron on to generic black jersey of choice. :pac:

A nice addition for the winter order would be to number the jerseys..
Maybe on the middle back pocket or maybe even your username :P

Well thanks to all the effort Cram put in on his massive order (over 10 grand IIRC), I've got a couple of jerseys both numbered (OK, number 410) and with my username on

Yea, as others have said, 2 orders per year and I'd rather we stuck with the current design for at least another year. We'll start the Winter order off in 4-6 weeks from now.
