Help tuning new tv

Hello.

I just bought one of these for the kitchen. LG 24MT35S
I have a Triax satellite recently installed.
I have the satellite cable going directly in back of tv.

I've tried to begin tuning it but I am getting duplicates of channels, four or five different regions of same.
In setup, I selected UK and didn't supply a postcode. Is this the problem?
Also I want to set up a favourite channels only.

Any help put very simply would be much appreciated.

Only a Freesat compatible TV will ask for a postcode and order the channels into a user friendly list minus the regional duplicates.

I assume your TV isn't Freesat compatible so the TV's FTA satellite tuner will find and store all channels found, in no particular order, including duplicates - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_free-to-air_channels_at_28%C2%B0E#Nations_.26_Regions
