Hi.I was changing strings today, the white bridge bone fell out..I wasnt too sure how it went back in,so I thought the higher side would be thicker strings? If it was not the right way, would the guitar sound ok for tuning and playing? It seems ok,probably a stupid question, but I don't want to wreck the guitar:)

    you wont damage the guitar.

if the intonation is still ok then you have it in the right way

Thank you both,it tunes up and sounds grand..only thing is the low E pin is a little higher than the rest.I thought it may be the bridge bone I had wrong, but from looking around,it seems this may happen if the ball of the string is sticking at the bottom of the pin...It was the first time to change strings on this guitar since I bought it,and that top e string took ages to get out,the ball was stuck in the pin end,had to do it from the soundhole...

In future, if the ball end is stuck, just snip the string leaving about an inch outside. You can use this extra to work the ball free until it drops into the guitar. Simple job then to fish it out.

Don't be wastin' valuable guitarin' time foosterin' around with stubborn ball ends!
