They are brutes to pull alright. Our 9880 is basicly a Massey. MF axle Perkins engine and MF back end. Ours pulls 17 bales of silage with 2wd and makes no marks. Only problem I have with her is brakes are ****e-have you in a ditch in a second and electrics.

I drove a mythos 115 and the brakes were none existent. Few brown trouser moments.

I think the only similarity is a Perkins engine. The back end is landini if I recall.

the 9880 would leave a MF sitting... far superior balance, traction, and torque

9880 here as well, very pleased with it. Brakes are good on it and no problems with electrics - the only electrics are the dash and the lights.

Only similarlity with the MF 600 series is the front axle and the engine and the cab.

The front axle is a Dana axle.

Fella i work for has two 135tdi technos.
Both have had new clutches round 5000hrs . Housing round where the clutch release lever pivots breaks up. I blame it on using the hand clutch and foot clutch together putting too much pressure on the unit. clutch plate itself was perfect with loads of wear left.
They have 40k boxes but do nearly 50 k on the road, one does about 55 k.
Comfort wise nowhere near a new holland. Get one with an air seat and run the front tyres very soft

Brakes are adequate but are nowhere near a new holland . it can be an effort to pull up in a hurry. They have front brakes which we have disconnected on one as the seals were lesking in the slave cylinder causing a very soft pedal. The end result is the bakes are now excellent, Are considering doing it to the other one. I dont believe the front breaks are up to much

the tractors tick over at 950rpm but need to be put on the computer to reduce revs to 700.
Cables give trouble, throttle cables, hand clutch cables, cables for spool valves and the ones for putting the pto in gear.

Cabs are noisy . its hard to have a conversation on the phone when mowing. you wont hear the phone ring.

the lift can be very slow to drop with no weight on it.
The injection pump and throttle are electric
People say there are no electrics but there are enough in them.

I like them but would advise to get a top spec with multipower and air con. the technos were never speced with air con as standard or an air seat. Multipower or whatever they call it is a good idea as there is an big jump to 5th and 6 gear. Hydraulic clutch would be a preference as when you are spreading slurry its gets annoying pulling the clutch to put it into gear.

When you start the engine , they seem hard to start as in you have to hold the key for a few seconds warm or cold the same , they are like that from new , Not like one touch of the key perkins of the 9880.
As the injection pump is electronis its more difficult to turn them up. most of the time its a super chip that brings them to 150hp, not like the NH that some lads bring to 200hp

Headlights are in a bad spot as rain falls on them through the mesh and the lenses go dull as a result.

Excellent yoke to pull. Better than the 14145 and 14245 zetors they replaced and they were good to pull. Get it with a set of weights as well.

protect the power steering pipes from wear . they run down through a l shaped bracket which cuts through them and they can be annoying to get off to replace

All that said i have no problem driving one. good sized tractor to do most jobs , quick , fairly comfortable and affordable
