    Hi Everyone,

I have a legal question about naturalization. My name is Max and I'm born in Italy 47 years ago. Since 2008 my wife and I we are stable residents in Ireland ,in December of 2010 and in May of 2014 are born our kids in Dublin (Coombe Hospital).
At the moment my son, born in 2010, have the Italian Citizenship (unfortunately he is born at 7pm of the 31st of December 2010 and for 5 hours he isn't eligible for the Irish Citizenship) but my daughter, born the last 8th of May, have the Irish Citizenship.
My problem it's that I would like the Irish Citizenship for myself and my family for a lot of reason, first because my life is here and also my future, I have achieved the Irish Fetac level 5 and the Fetac Level 6 (Higher National Certificate) in Multimedia (with a 6 distinctions) my wife have an Irish Diploma and we don't want to live in other country than Ireland. Unfortunately in the last three years I lost my job but I studied in College and I will open my company in January. At the moment I don't have all the money necessary to take the Irish Citizenship for all my family but it's very important for our life, present and future.
Do you think exist an option for take the Irish Citizenship and arrange the payment or ask to the Minister of Justice and Equality?
I looked for that answer in other threads of this forum but I didn't find any usefull answer to my case.

Thanks in advance for any your answer.

    Max

Once you are in the state 5 years you can apply.

Yeah you just fill in the form and apply. It only takes about 6 months if you have no reason to be denied (ie tax paying citizen with no criminal record).

Thanks for your reply. Yes we are residents since 2008, we pay the tax and we have no criminal record. Also I have the reference letter by the Principal of my college. The only problem (at the moment) it's the price, I don't know if they want all the 2,500 euros in one solution or if it is possible to arrange a different payment and I don't know if it's possible to have a benefit because my daughter is Irish. :-/
