What in particular are you looking for advice on?

Buy a road bike, padded shorts, clip-in pedals and Shoes.
Get out as often as you can and maybe join a cycling club.

Don't pass HGV's on the left, obey the ROTR and wave at other cyclists!

    Enjoy.:D

If you can avail of the Bike to work Scheme, buy a new bike. Have you any idea what kind of cycling you want to do? commuting? leisure? racing? off road?

For that money would you be best going for a Carrera Road bike from Halfords? They are not a bad starter bike. You may also have some luck in the 2nd hand market. There are good bikes to be had out there for 400 euro.
