Confused about council houses!!

Girlfriend and I are basically homeless - going from friends to friends.. We want to apply to the council so we can get RA but since I'm from wexford and she's from tallaght so which council do we apply to? Or does it matter? Just to note we're not on any list atm Sorry if this posts twice - internets acting up.

Apply in the area in which you're currently living. Aka- if you're living in Tallaght- apply to SDCC etc.

Note- emergency accommodation may the only option at the moment- as councils seem to be prioritising those physically homeless. If you're couch surfing with friends etc- you're not deemed to be homeless.......

Pop into a local CWO and talk to them- they may be able to access resources.
