Hi, just thought I'd throw up a thread about this but I'm sure many are already familiar with this game. For the World Cup I did a Fantasy Football Tournament on www.fantasyleague.com and I thought it was great fun especially if it can be organised properly.

Basically I was given a 100m budget for players and had to bid for players in an auction. A Chairman/woman is appointed to run the league and they will put down a timeframe for the first sets of bids. Example, bidding opens at 14.00 on July 20th and ends July 22nd at 22.00. Now you bid for your players, let's pick a random player - Aaron Ramsey. If you really want Ramsey then you can blow a lot of your budget on him, you can bid 40m for him and still may not get him if someone has outbid you but the beauty is that you could've just spent 40m on him and no one else may have bid for him.

So you can bid 0.00m for a player and if no one thought of bidding for that player then you get him on a free. Once the first auction is over it continues until you've got a squad.

Swaps are permitted between teams but the Chairman must ok the swap. There's no captains and a very simple points system.

Also in the World Cup version, every game was considered a new gameweek, e.g if I had a player playing in the 5.00 game I could remove him after the game for a player playing at 7 and gets points for both. I'm sure it will be similar for the Premier League if the site runs the game.

It's a great concept and avoids everyone having similar teams. I'm not sure how exactly transfers and budgets will work for the Premier League but the World Cup one there was a possibility to get a new budget at certain times.
