Galway to Limerick Record

A work colleague of mine heard that someone broke the Galway to Limerick cycling record over the weekend. Haven't seen anything on stickybottle about it. This was something I planned to have a crack at a few years ago. Anybody hear anything on this?

Thats the old record. It was broken over weekend.
By Eoin Whelan Seven Springs Cc 2hours 13 min 33 sec. He used same route as Padraig had used which was a new route.

Thanks. Found a cool video of the ride on the Seven Springs Facebook page. That's a tough route going over Tulla Hill. I'm assuming you're not allowed to use the motorway on these point-to-point record attempts
