Xoro Saorview set top box

I have a Xoro saorview box with satellite dish for non-Irish channels. I have had problems since day 1 recording programmes - everything I do seems to be correct but when I go to watch back, sometimes the programme has been recorded, but most of the time the programme hasn 't been recorded. I don't do anything different each time but it is so inconsistent. I don'twatch other programmes as I record as I thought that may be the problem but it doesn't seem to be. Sometimes if I say, set it to record for a half hour, it will record 15 minutes of the previous programme and 15 minutes of the programme I want to record!

Would be grateful if somebody with positive experience of recording on xoro box could offer some advice please? Bb

As far as I know Zoro don't make Saorview boxes, though they do make unapproved DVB-T boxes. But you can't use a satellite dish on either. So more information of what you actually have please.

Thanks. I have a Xoro HRC 9000+ Satellite Combi Receiver. There was a sky dish on my roof when I bought the house as the previous users had sky, and the chap who installed the Xoro box for me linked a cable from the dish into an aerial into my attic. I have the irish channels plus hundreds of others!

My user manual doesn't cover recording but I went online and downloaded one which had a u-tube video of a demonstration which works in theory but not in practice so any help would be appreciated. Bb
