rooting a galaxy s3, current links

Done my s3 a few years back but everything was current then. Herselfs is giving problems and a think a root and Rom would fix it. But I'm getting bogged down in all the different forums and options. Basically anyone have links for a root and for a stable Rom for a gt-i9300
