Do many of you wear contacts playing golf?

I've worn my glasses playing for the last 10+ years, gets a little bit annoying in the rain, but also I think the frames being in my eye line could be affecting me.

I wore contacts for years in all sorts of sports and they're briallant in our wet climate. Not only do they not fog up, smudge and gather rain drops like glasses which you constantly having to clean but they also help your peripheral vision immensely and make tracking the ball so much easier. Even when it's warm and humid you don't get as sweaty around the bridge of the nose and ears making everything so much more comfortable. The only advantage glasses have are for keeping the odd insect or sprayed sand from a bunker on a windy day out of your eye.

I got the laser job done about 4 years ago and best decision ever, life changing really but my eyesight was quite poor to begin with.

I only need my glasses when I'm in the car. When I first got them I tried them once for golf and while it was great being able to see my ball off in the distance again, I got dizzy as soon as I started putting so I took them off and have never used them golfing since. Dont know if I would go for lenses just yet. I'm still only getting used to having to wear glasses images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRAbG0wnfOxTw0nIhHcZqp-X5wlbsAJeXlqv_XtamBA1unRjIGI5YiauM0

Assuming some of your shots go off line, how do you find them? I sometimes play with someone who can't see more than 180 yds and I've got to look at where he hits his drives. Also when I say "watch where this goes" I might as well not bother.

My shots never* go off line and anyway I can see them a lot of the time far enough to have a good idea where they are gone. I usually play in a fourball and between us we usually know where to go but there have definitely been times when I've just walked forward in hope rather than certainty.
