Soundproofing homeoffice door

I'm looking for suggestions to stop noise coming in through my office door. I work from home and there is too much background noise when on the phone to clients.

I've been trying to find some heavy acoustic curtains that might do the trick but amn't having the best of luck. They seem like the least fuss and most practical way of going about it.Any suggestions?

A fire rated door (ie. Dense and high mass) - Can be bought in most styles to suit decor/existing doors. If you already have a solid wood door for this room then ignore.

    in combination with

Those rubber door seal strips around the door jam.

    in combination with

A retractable door seal. This is assuming you don't want the seal visible on the door as its a home/office. With the retractable version a channel is routed/mortised out on the underside of the door to fit the door seal. Theres a push pin on the side of the seal that gets pressed by the door jam when the door is closed which pushes the seal down to seal against your saddleboard. When the door is opened, the pin is realised and the rubber seal retracts back up into the mechanism.

Can't really help you. I've always planned to fit these when I replace my interior cheapo doors with solid wood fire rated doors but that job is still not on the cards even 2 years after that post. So, no. I've never fitted these, just knew of them from research.

Whats funny is I didn't come here due to an email notification or anything, just happened to pop my head into DIY for the first time in months. Whats really funny is I was only talking about these things to my mother this afternoon on a dog walk!! :D
