Youth Gradings

Hoping someone on here could shed some light on an issue.

Our U14 of 2 years ago finished bottom of Grade 3 with 2 points alongside one other team.

A few weeks ago before U16 fixtures were announced we contacted county board to ask that our U16 team be dropped into Grade 4. We got a reply to the email to say that this was being done within the next few weeks. We then received proposed gradings for U16 and our team was placed in Grade 3 whilst the other team that finished bottom with us was dropped into Grade 4. Also the team who finished above us with 8 points was also dropped to Grade 4. We contacted county board again asking them to review their decision, only to be told that "the reason we kept you's in Grade 3 was that in that particular group that you's are in there are another 2 teams who were looking down to Grade 4 as well. So instead of moving all these teams down which would not be possible it was decided to group them together". We contacted the county chairman who thought there was something not right with the whole thing and said he would speak to the youth fixtures panel. The fixtures have been released today and we have been dropped to Grade 4. There are now 7 teams in Grade 4. 2 of the teams have received 2 byes whilst the other 5 teams have received only 1 bye. Wondering does anyone know how this works with regards to points. We just feel that there is a serious issue of discrimination against us as we had a disagreement with the county board earlier in the year where a team had to withdraw from the competition. We now feel that we are being made to pay for this. In the 2nd half of the fixtures we have 1 home fixture. We dont feel that we are over-reacting but that the county board are sticking the knife in.

    Any opinions would be grateful!!!
