Ive recently bought a house. Id like to put in a 5 lever mortise lock. I'm hopeless at DIY. Is it best to get a locksmith to fit it or would a local handyman be capable enough?

Have a look on youtube. Theirs videos on everything there. If it still looks to hard a local handyman will do the job but you have to buy the locks and pay him separate where as a locksmith might fit for free if you buy from him.

A locksmith will usually supply and fit. I would recommend getting the locksmith to do it. It will meet insurance requirements
