And she'll want a serious fuss made about it. As she does every year - only this time it will have to be special.

To be honest when it comes to buying gifts i haven't got much of a clue.

I was thinking something along the lines of 40 different presents - mix of mostly small and a few big.

This is where you ladies come in - any ideas?

This is coming from a man who once bought her binoculars and a clock radio one christmas!!:o

A photo collage of 40 of her happiest times/favourite places/favourite people? Something really personal to her& her alone. You could have it as a scrap book, with comments underneath, or else frame it, to be hung on the wall.

If she wants a big fuss, why not a party?

Alternatively, something that she has always said she'd love to do but was a bit of a pipe dream?

Treating her with little presents every morning for the week running up to her birthday would be very cool with a big pressie on the actual birthday.

Reckon you will need to have one big pressie on the day. What about a weekend away somewhere or a nice piece of jewellery. A party with nearest and dearest sounds good too.

Was thinking of a trip to lisbon and a piece of jewellery.

The party is happening but is going to be a family affair, organised by her mum and dad.

She hinted at a handbag but tbh she has about 20 or more designer handbags and i don't think a handbag will have as much attached to it in 10 years time as a piece of jewellery will.

    Thanks again for the suggestions.
