p45 question

i changed jobs recently. rang revenue with my new employers reg number so i could be registered for tax. girl told me to send in my p45 to revenue when i received it from old employer. received p45 today and it says on it to give it to my new employer. confused now. any advice ?

i changed jobs recently. rang revenue with my new employers reg number so i could be registered for tax. girl told me to send in my p45 to revenue when i received it from old employer. received p45 today and it says on it to give it to my new employer. confused now. any advice ?

You can do either for the same result.
