New bike advice

    First post!

I am in need of some advice. I am looking to buy my first Carbon bike and I would really appreciate some feedback or suggestions on purchasing a carbon bike. I am not wedded to the idea of getting one brand over another. I have been looking around and am at a bit of a loss as to what bike I should go for.

The Basic requirements I have are to the get the best spec I can get for 2000 Euro. The bike is for training rides and use in sportives.

At present by my reckoning that cash will get me a carbon bike with Shimano 105 spec. I have been looking at bikes like the Cube Agree GTC Pro, Kellys URC 50, Thompson Pilot or a Lapierre Sensium.

Any feedback or suggestions would be very well received!

You can easily get Ultegra for 2k.

Have you looked at ribble or Planet X?

No harm throwing your eye over a Trek Domane 3 series or a carbon defy.

Best to avoid the local outfit (in Athlone) though. A complete shower of *****.

Sensium 250 or 300 is a lovely bike, not only does it look nice but it is very comofortable due to the headtube and reach. Decent spec with a mix of Ultegra and 105 for under the 2 grand mark.

I you know what you're looking for size wise, then look at Rose or Canyon. Both online sellers from Germany but great value for money
