    Hi,

I'm just looking at getting away soon with my gf and we saw the flights to Comiso Sicily with Ryanair. I've never been to sicily before so I don't know it at all.

Has anyone been to this part of Sicily before? Can anyone recommend a seaside town nearby. We usually stay in airbnb places, would like a nice beach, local restaurants and a little history/nature. Family have stayed in che falu before but That seems to be a fair distance away. I'd prefer to stay somewhere reasonably close to Comiso airport.

Are the transport links any good to the airport? Or is this the cliche Ryanair stop?

    Thanks

I'm heading to Comiso on Sunday and need to travel to Taormina, its fairly expensive to travel by taxi (€150) and that's the only option at 8:30pm apparently... any chance anyone else is travelling the same route and would like to share a taxi with me and 1 other to half the cost? Flying the 4pm flight with Ryanair from Dublin....

OP fly to Catania with Aer Lingus which is the main airport and near towns. Comiso is inland, if money is tight try Ryanair to Palermo which is better than Comiso.

Hard Look about the steep taxi cost!

Would Aer Lingus to Catania and bus ride to Taormina (5 euro) of worked out cheaper had you known about the taxi situation?

Worth staying in Ragusa. We got a pre-booked taxi from airport to Ragusa and then took bus to Catania two days later.
Cannot remember all details re cost but in 20-40€ bracket.. Could have been done cheaper but organised with hotel we were staying in in Ragusa..
